Gavin Bishop

Gavin Bishop is an award-winning children’s picture book writer and illustrator who lives and works in Christchurch. Since his first picture book, Mrs McGinty and the Bizarre Plant, was published in 1981, he has written and illustrated some 60 books, from original stories to retellings of Māori myths, European fairy stories and nursery rhymes.
