Biography

Greg O’Connell

Greg O’Connell is a poet, performer, and literacy educator. He has 13 published poems in the School Journal and five poems in the forthcoming A Treasury of New Zealand Poetry for Children (Random House, 2014). Greg thrills preschool, primary, and intermediate audiences with his unique brand of highly interactive poetry. ‘For me, poetry is language at its very best – at its most beautiful, powerful, skilful, meaningful, musical, and playful. And my central purpose is to create, craft, and communicate poems and poetry experiences that enrich, entertain, and inspire.’
