Maire Leadbeater

Maire Leadbeater is a long-time human rights and peace activist and writer. A spokesperson for Auckland CND in the 1980s, she played a leading role in the mass movement that successfully advocated for a nuclear-free New Zealand. She holds an Amnesty International New Zealand Lifetime award for her human rights work.
