Biography

Martin van Beynen

Martin van Beynen has been a senior writer at The Press since 2004. He has a law degree from the University of Auckland and a Diploma of Journalism from the University of Canterbury. He is the recipient of several awards, including a Qantas Media Award in 2010. He was Fairfax Media Journalist of the Year 2010–11. His book, Trapped: Remarkable Stories of Survival from the 2011 Canterbury Earthquake, was published in 2012.
