Biography
Melinda Szymanik
Melinda Szymanik is a writer for children and young adults. Her books include the picture books The House That Went to Sea and The Were-Nana, and the critically acclaimed junior novel A Winter’s Day in 1939, which was shortlisted for the 2014 NZ Post Children’s Book Awards and won the Librarian’s Choice at the recent LIANZA awards. Her new picture book is The Song of Kauri.
