The Read Aloud programme is a festival institution that celebrates writing for children and young adults and brings together some of our best international and New Zealand authors to inspire youthful readers and writers. This year primary and intermediate Christchurch students get to hear Melinda Szymanik, Jackie French and Donovan Bixley, while secondary schools will enjoy Anis Mojgani, Dylan Horrocks and Laini Taylor.
Three writers will speak and read from their work in each session.
PRIMARY SCHOOLS : Years 4 – 8
9.30 – 10.30am or 1.30 – 2.30pm
YOUNG ADULT WRITERS: Years 9 – 13
11am – 12pm
